5 OTHER ACTIVITIES DONE IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK BESIDES GORILLA TREKKING.
Bwindi forest is one of the most bio-diverse forests with the best ecosystems in Africa famously known as the home to the mountain gorillas. Situated on the western arm of the Great Rift Valley in Southwestern Uganda and shared by three districts Rukungiri, Kabale and Kisoro, the forest homes other primates, mammals like the forest elephants and the rare birds which are not found anywhere else except on a safari in Uganda

Hiking tours/nature walks in Bwindi are basically conducted across the four outland trails within the park. Each of the trails provides a great experience to the visitors acquiring knowledge about the various inhabitants of the forest like bird species, tree species, butterflies, primates and the mammals that dwell in the park. As earlier talked about, biking is another activity done in Bwindi especially in Buhoma village and some few areas of the park. The forest Inter-cultural visits conducted with the first inhabitants of the jungle dubbed the Batwa pygmies. These were negatively deemed as drunkards, smokers, marijuana takers who stayed in the forest basically because they didn’t have any one to speak out for them. The Batwa experience in Buhoma area and the Buniga forest walk near southern Bwindi give visitors a look into their way of lives and traditions.
